DeMONS/2 version 0.0.2.8 (TEST TEST) is now available for download. Changes and notices are listed below.

  • Fix! (D2Launcher) - If you were running multiple "favored" hosts, the first one that ran it's scheduled race would stop all other hosts (as intended), but the following problems occurred:

    • Any host paused so that the favored host could run by itself should have had a blue flag with yellow stripe to indicate that it was paused by a favored host. Instead, some were showing the black flag, indicating that the schedule was done and would not restart.

    • If one of the paused hosts was also a favored host, it would not restart automatically when the original favored host was finished running it's scheduled event.
  • Fix! (D2League) - Several issues were fixed in D2League:

    • If a driver showed up in two different cars at any point during the practice session, his original qual speed would be zeroed out because the porogram was sometimes using the practice driver's speed instead of the driver that actually raced.

    • NR2002 results files contain a new "identifier" inside an HTML comment. This was affecting the penalties section and would show up as an "out of range" error in the converted HTML page.

    • All drivers are given starting/finishing positions, regardless of whether they even start the race. The order is determined by where they show up in the qualifying section and then the practice session of the original HTML results file generated by the sim.

DeMONS/2 version 0.0.2.7 (TEST TEST) is now available for download. Changes and notices are listed below.

  • New! (D2League) - A new module raises it's ugly and barely tested head. That's right, now you can convert those ugly NR4/NR2002 results web pages to be whatever you want it to look like! Check out the online Reference Guide for all the gory details!

This update will NOT affect existing modules in any way.

05/04/2002 - 5:30pm

DeMONS/2 version 0.0.2.6 (TEST TEST) is now available for download. Changes and notices are listed below.

  • Fix! (D2Config) - Not only did I fix the admin password bug, but I managed to break the other passwords. After rigorous testing in an independant testing facility, I've determined that you have as much chance of this version working at least as well as the the last one did.
05/04/2002 - 8:15am

DeMONS/2 version 0.0.2.5 (TEST TEST) is now available for download. Changes and notices are listed below.

  • Fix! (D2Config) - Not only was the program not correctly passing the admin password to the sim, but it appears as if NONE of the passwords were being passed correctly.
05/03/2002 - 5:45pm

DeMONS/2 version 0.0.2.4 (TEST TEST) is now available for download. Changes and notices are listed below.

  • New! (D2Config) - Added a field to set the required minimum LPI (0-100). This field shows up on the race configuration pages.
  • Fix! (D2Config) - The program was not saving the admin password and therefore was not setting it when the sim was launched.
04/10/2002 - 06:00am

DeMONS/2 version 0.0.2.3 (TEST TEST) is now available for download. Changes and notices are listed below.

  • New! (D2Config) - I enabled the Move Up and Move Down buttons in the Schedule Config dialog. You can now re-arrange the schedule without having to start completely over again.
  • New! (D2Config) - I added a new button to the Schedule Config dialog - Quick Schedule. This button lets you add ALL tracks to the schedule at the same time, or all tracks of a give type (or types). It's pretty simple to figure out, so I am not going to go into much detail here.
  • Fix! (D2Config) - If you deleted all of the tracks from a schedule, went back to the main D2Config dialog box, and then tried to edit the schedule again, the program would display a false error (but nothing bad would happen). Got rid of the error message because it was obsoleted by a previous change.

Miscellaneous DeMONS-related Info:

  • I converted the old RTF document to HTML format, and made it part of the web page (a link to it is in the banner frame, above).
  • In the next few days, I will be updating the screenshots page and adding screenshots to the two guide pages as well.
  • I've started hiding the controls and fields that are not implemented in order to present a less confusing appearance to the new guys (and to avoid building up anyone's hopes that any of that shit will actually ever work). If it looks like I hid something that used to be working, let me know as soon as you notice it.
04/06/2002 - 10:15pm

I updated the web page to include a User's Guide.

02/28/2002 - 6:00pm

DeMONS/2 version 0.0.2.2 (TEST TEST) is now available for download. Changes and notices are listed below.

  • Fix! (D2Config) - The program would refuse to run if you didn't have N4 installed on the system (even if you DID have N2002 installed).
02/22/2002 - 10:00pm

DeMONS/2 version 0.0.2.1 (TEST TEST) is now available for download. Changes and notices are listed below.

  • Fix! (D2Launcher) - I left a debug message box in the launcher that would wait for user input before proceeding. This wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't just before the sim was launched. I guess I was just so glad to get the new version out that I forgot this one item.
02/22/2002 - 7:00pm

DeMONS/2 version 0.0.2.0 (TEST TEST) is now available for download. Changes and notices are listed below.

  • New! (D2) - Complete support for NR2002 has now been added. It is possible to run BOTH NR4 and NR2002 servers simultaneously. As usual with any new feature, take special note of anything weird that happens and let me know ASAP. Don't forget to run D2Scrub on your NR2002 folder if you're running under Win98/ME. I also recommend that you hit the "Start Fresh" button and reconfigure ALL of your hosts.
  • Fix! (D2Launcher) - The Launcher would freeze up if you edited a host (from the launcher), and deleted all of the events from the host's schedule.
